At Spark Village, the Community Builders want to help making our neighborhood a welcoming and happy place to live!
We are 6 volunteers — Aurora, Beer, Cariem, Fausto, Louis and Mo — and here to support our fellow residents, encourage connections, and create opportunities for everyone to come together. We try to give at least 4 hours a week to building a stronger, more connected community!
We try to build the community in different ways: from organizing fun social events to helping with practical questions about Spark Village. Whether you’re looking for ways to get involved, need help navigating local services, or just want to chat, they’re always approachable and happy to assist 🙂
We would like to help with as much as we can, but please mind that we are volunteers. We have an amazing community of neighbours who are also always willing to assist with practical help. Also check the group description for numbers to call if you have any issues.
Lately we’ve been organising taalcafe, BBQ’s, cleaning up events and more. We hope to see you there!
Have an idea for an event or need help? Reach out to us, you can find our numbers in the group chat or email us at sparkvillagecommunity@gmail.com
Who are we?

Cariem Edsme
Hello Sparkies! 🙂 I’m Cariem, 24 years old and doing a master at the University of Amsterdam to become a French teacher In my free time I like to be outside in nature, playing boardgames, cooking good food and dance & sing. I really love living (together with my beautiful cat Luna) at Sparkvillage <3 The people, the community, the activities… It gives me so much joy! You can always approach me if you see me and have a little chitchat, share your concerns, your joy or something completely else 🙂

Bear
I’m a 23 year old student, after my study I want to help people move confidently whichever way they want to.
My biggest hobby is juggling besides others like chess or cooking which come and go. Also I like to be outside a lot! 🙂
The thing that I find most important in Sciencepark-village besides contributing to the events we organize is making the common space feel welcoming especially for newcomers.
